This isn't the first time this season the Patriots have been inflicted by the NFL's replay rules.

In the Week 5 game against Denver, the Broncos rallied back from 10 down to tie it at 17. With under 2:00 left, the Pats fumbled it away on their final drive in regulation.

The Broncos took over around midfield with 1:37 left. On first down, it was apparent to viewers (and the commentators) that Knowshon Moreno fumbled the ball back to the Pats, yet THE PLAY WAS NOT REVIEWED!

The Broncos (to much fanfare) went on to win in OT. But who knows if they would have if the Patriots had gotten the ball back near midfield with something like 1:30 left.

The only vindication for these plays is (I believe) coaches like Belichick support this system. To my knowledge there is no one lobbying for it to change. They trust the model of the league will even everything out.

In this instance, the Patriots have undoubtedly received the benefit of these calls over the years, so they can not complain now that they are not going their way. The owners and coaches view this as fair, even if it is not fair to the players, fans or bettors.

Ha! Awesome AC, yeah, as I said to her later when she said "I have an ace..." I was sitting there thinking "Hmm, do I try and push her off it on the turn or not?"

Actually, she couldn't check raise because she was on the button. SB checked and I C-bet. But yeah, point remains, if she puts in a raise there, I pretty much have to dump it.

You probably fold everything except AA and Jx if she puts in a check-raise.

Hear that, Sky? CHECK-RAISE HIM.

I went to a GE learning course yesterday in the same room as IL and thought of you! [Also, not taking it personally that you didn't respond to my e-mail since your most recent blog post was 9/9.]

Us vs. the world worked for the Giants last year, why shouldn't it work for Da Bears.

The only thing is that I really feel that Kyle Orton isn't a Superbowl QB but then Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson all won SuperBowls so what do I know....
